At The End Of The Swimming Season, Water Quality Matters
In case you haven't noticed our swimming season is much longer.
Our warmer weather is keeping pool water temperatures above the long-term average for much of Autumn. The period of above average temperatures is even longer for heated pools.
This longer season is coupled, this year, with the extra use our pools have seen because we're locked up at home, as a result of the COVID-19 restrictions. We have all used our pools much more than we would have in previous years.
As we move into the cooler months, we need to maintain water quality, and that takes a little more care after so much pool usage. Correctly preparing the pool for the end-of-swimming-season is the key to having a crystal clear, and healthy, pool when we start our new season in September.
The 'Cover, Set, and Forget' approach to winter pool care is wrong. Approaching winter that way can leave you with a very expensive 'fix' in September!
